Budapest Hosts the Second International CAD’oro Architectural Film Festival

Budapest is once again at the center of architectural creativity as it hosts the second international CAD’oro Architectural Film Festival on September 5–6, 2025, during the D2 Conference. The event is organized by Artifex Publishing, known for the METSZET magazine, and supported by Hungary’s Ministry of Construction and Transport, along with the Hungarian Academy of Arts.

CAD’oro celebrates architectural animation and visualization, turning 3D models and renders into compelling artistic stories. The festival invites audiences to see buildings not just as structures, but as cinematic experiences.

This year, the festival welcomed entries from around the globe, offering three competition categories: professional works commissioned by architecture firms, independent experimental projects, and student animations from universities worldwide. The nominees were announced on August 25, and the winners will be revealed at a gala on September 5 in Budapest.

Beyond awards, CAD’oro is an important platform for the architectural community. It connects professionals, students, and enthusiasts, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in architectural visualization.
