In modern realities, when the majority of CG artists are published only on social networks, it is difficult to single out specific works or an author. The first publications of new 3D visualizations are made by the authors themselves, sometimes from several accounts, then aggregators republish them dozens of times. It turns out that the new content is mixed with the old in endless re-posts. There are so many publications that any new work is forgotten the very next day. But it was not always so.

Before the appearance of social networks, the community of Archviz shared their 3D visualizations on thematic sites. The best works were selected by the administration and received awards. For years they hung in separate sections on websites and were quality standards and indicators of trends in the Archvis industry. Top works could attract attention and discussion for several weeks. The works that you will see below are just such. Some of them may well be called epic, as they show an entire era of legendary CG artists.

These works were created when there was no:

1. Corona Renderer. V-ray was most famous render engine.

2. You-tube tutorials.

3. Scans of textures or objects. The main source of textures was a search engine or resource textures.com

4. Lots of ready-made 3d models. 3sky did not sell models.

5. Forest pack, floor generator, scatter and other famous plugins.

6. Online courses. Any information received was the result of multiple tests.

7. GPU rendering.

Considering all these factors, it could take months of work to implement one project.

The resolution of these renderings is small, as the sizes of monitors were also small at that time.

And this project of Alessandro requires special attention. Work on the project has been going on for about 3 years, from the moment of the first tests. The entire scene was completely modeled by the author. The vegetation in the scene had 900,000,000 polygons. The project was rendered on a 4-core Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 with 4GB of RAM.

Project "The third and the seventh" by CG artist under the pseudonym Alex Roman (real name Jorge Seva). 2009.

Greatest architectural visualizer of all time. He worked on the project "The third and the seventh" for 3 years, composing short stories from popular architectural structures of the world, and not only. Alex was obsessed with his work like no other. He rendered frames for animation around the clock, with little or no breaks. One day he went on vacation for 2 weeks, leaving his PC to render the sequence. Since he did not have a render farm, he could not lose time on rendering. 10 years later, his work still inspires young CG artists around the world. And his film will forever go down in the history of architectural visualization as an example of quality and an example of the enormous capabilities of one person who has talent and is in love with his work.

Крутезна стаття!
Зі всієї підбірки бачив тільки відео і одну роботу, і то не впевнений, може вона здається знайомою.

Дякую. Багатьох рендерів вже нема в мережі, побачити їх ніде :) Це все з особистих архівів.
